Welcome to the Maryland Professional Employees Council

Welcome union members and potential members to the home page of the Maryland Professional Employees Council (MPEC).Your volunteer officers and support staff are working diligently to protect and enhance the rights and benefits of the professional employees of the State of Maryland. This site is to enlighten our MPEC members, and all employees of bargaining unit G, about the work done by their union to protect their interests and to better their working conditions. Among our many efforts are:

·         negotiating labor agreements with the State of Maryland

·         lobbying for legislation favorable to state employees, and

·         representing employee rights through the grievance process.
