The AFT-Maryland is considering which candidate for governor to endorse, and is soliciting the opinions of its members. The state federation sent a questionnaire to the Democratic nominees for governor getting answers on a range of questions related to public sector labor unions.
The respondents provided answers to a number of topics including Kirwan Commission recommendations, public sector union protections, budget priorities, school vouchers, and more.
The AFT-Maryland will use the input of members following their review of the candidate questionnaire and an ensuing survey that members will receive to determine if and whom the state federation will endorse.
