Election Day is fast approaching, but you still have time to make a plan to vote! It's easy, and the AFL-CIO wants to help! Go to their Make a Plan Tool to map out where to vote, how you'll get to your polling place, and they'll even send you reminders to make this Election Day a breeze!

On Sunday, The Washington Post published its endorsement of Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown for Governor, saying, "Mr. Brown’s breadth of experience, coupled with the lack of credibility at the heart of Mr. Hogan’s program, inform our endorsement."

"Mindful that many Maryland voters feel overtaxed, and that the state is widely seen as hostile to business, Mr. Brown has laid out an agenda that blends caution and ambition. Its centerpiece is a plan to expand pre-kindergarten for thousands more 4-year-olds. He has also advocated expanding the state’s transit infrastructure, notably by building the Red Line

Avoid long lines on election day! Maryland has expanded early voting this year to make sure you have the best chance to make your vote count!

AFT-Maryland is coordinating volunteers to make phone calls Mondays through Thursdays and Saturdays until Nov. 3rd. Call to sign up for a shift!

We are also canvassing neighborhoods with Labor-to-Labor Door-to-Door walks, Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. We are union members talking to other union members, encouraging our brothers & sisters to come out to vote on November 4th.
