Justice For All March, 12/13/14

On Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, AFT-Maryland joined with tens of thousands of concerned citizens from across the nation to demand JUSTICE FOR ALL. The march led by the National Action Network and the National Urban League called attention to the recent deaths of unarmed African-American men and women at the hands of law enforcement. The rally pressed local, state, and federal officials to seek justice for the victims.

Among those in attendance who spoke were the families of Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, and Michael Brown, all unarmed and killed in police custody. AFT-Maryland and members from the AFT family across the nation stood in solidarity with the many others who traveled to Washington, D.C. to be sure their voices were heard on this important issue at this important time in our nation's history.
