You spoke, we listened! Last year, stemming from this legislative priorities survey, members made clear that legislation to assure public employees worked in a safe environment was a priority. As a result, the AFT-Maryland helped pass The Workplace Violence Prevention Act, the bill that established worker committees to address workplace safety at the state hospitals.
In an effort to get our membership plugged-in to the issues impacting them in their workplace, their community, and their political surrounding, the AFT-Maryland has once again developed this survey to see which issues are of the most important to our base.
