AFT-Maryland members, staff, and community partners joined other members of AFT and The Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, for a rally at the Supreme Court. The event marks the 60th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education.

On this, the 60th anniversary of that ruling promising racial justice in our public schools, we recognize that many schools are still separate, and still unequal for many.

AFT-Maryland joins the National Association of Letter Carriers in STAMP OUT HUNGER, a national food drive.

AFT-Maryland Affiliate Locals are distributing bags in which you can place your non-perishable food donations. Place the bags near your mailbox on Saturday, May 10th, and your letter carrier will deliver them to a local food pantry.

If you need a bag, contact your union local office, or AFT-Maryland, or use your own.
